King Herod's amphitheater has a lot of the original still intact, and they use it today. Pilate's palace was here, and he only went to Jerusalem 3 times a year for the big Jewish events.

Herod's famous Aqueducts. He was crazy, cruel (killed 3 of his own kids) and awfully creative!

This is the top of mount Carmel where Elijah took on the prophets of Baal.

The view of the valley of Armeggeddon from the top of Mount Carmel, where the first recorded battle was fought, and where the last predicted battle will be fought.

Next we went to Megiddo, which is an archeological find. It housed civilizations for 4000-5000 years. What you see here are Solomon's three gates that were built in his time.

Notice the steps going up. This is the remains of a pagan altar they have found here, where sacrifices were made. So far, only animal bones have been found.

Here is a manger that they have unearthed. Next stop? The temple mount at Nazareth!

Whew! We made it. The Sea of Galilee is behind us. Can hardly wait to catch it during the sunrise. Wake up is 6:00 am. This trip is not for the faint of heart! See you tomorrow, Shalom!

Today has been an incredibly full day. We started with a tour of Herod's architecture by the Mediterranean sea at Caesarea and ended the day hungry and tired at our hotel by the Sea of Galilee. Join us as we go from Caesarea to Mount Carmel, to Megiddo, through the Valley of Armeggeden and on to Nazareth. Watch as Merri, Kari and Cari try to push each other off the ledge where Jesus almost lost His life. I think that I can speak for all of us when I say, "Thanks be to God for this indescrabable gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:15. I hope that the pictures reveal even a small portion of what we took in today.
